The sable antelope is one of the most charismatic African antelope species and a dream trophy for many hunters.

Its long, scimitar-shaped horns, striking markings and proud posture make it an animal most hunters remember for a lifetime.

The hunt is often more demanding than it may seem at first glance. Sable antelopes are cautious, know their terrain well and can disappear into the bush before you get a second chance.

That is exactly why they hold such a respected position among African trophies. They can be hunted in countries such as Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe or Zambia. In most cases, however, sable antelopes are hunted on specialized hunting ranches and reserves rather than in completely free-range conditions.

Work on the giraffe continues.

With some projects, a steady hand and attention to detail are not enough. At times, you also need to handle working at height.

We have gradually positioned the head, refined the connection and are now starting to mount the skin. At this stage, everything is checked again, stretched and adjusted. The goal is to find the exact line so the final result looks natural, balanced and true to the animal’s anatomy.

Step by step, the mount is taking its final shape.

There is still some way to go before completion. This phase, however, is one of the most important.

A truly unusual project is currently underway in our studio – a full-body mount of an Angolan giraffe.

The sheer size of the animal takes the entire process to a completely different level. Experience and attention to detail alone are not enough. The workspace, handling, structure, and the entire workflow all have to be adapted.

A significant part of the work lies in the form itself. With animals of this size, the skin will never “fit” the form without adjustments. On the contrary – the larger the animal, the more the form must be individually shaped, modified, and refined to ensure the final result looks natural and proportionally correct.

With an animal the size of a giraffe, the space where the mount will ultimately be placed also becomes a key factor. It is essential to know not only the final interior but also all access routes – doors, hallways, ceiling heights. Without this, it would not be possible to safely transport and install the finished mount.

The project is still at a very early stage, and there is a long way to go. We will continue to share the progress in upcoming posts.

Zebra is one of the most typical African game species and a common part of safari hunting. With us, you can hunt both plains zebra (Burchell’s) and mountain zebra.

At first glance, the hunt may seem straightforward, but the reality is quite different. Zebra are very alert animals with excellent eyesight and hearing. They usually move in groups and react quickly, often at long distances. The window for a shot is often just a matter of seconds. Mountain zebra also live in extremely demanding, rocky terrain, which means the hunt requires good physical condition as well.

Hunting is most often done by spot-and-stalk. Proper reading of the terrain, working with the wind, and patience when closing the distance are essential. Shot placement must be precise, as zebra are tough animals and can carry a shot for a long distance.

The main trophy is the skin. Typical uses include rugs or shoulder mounts. Thanks to its distinctive pattern, every zebra is unique. Zebra skins are also highly valued in both classic and modern interiors.

The lion, one of the Big Five, is considered one of the most demanding and respected hunts in Africa.
It is a large predator, where experienced guidance, proper equipment, steady nerves and precise shooting are essential.

In South Africa, lion hunting takes place within private reserves and concessions, where breeding and population management are carefully controlled. Hunting is legal, strictly regulated, and conducted under valid permits for both the hunt and the export of the trophy.

The hunt itself usually involves tracking and approaching the animal at close range. Due to the nature of the game, a higher level of risk must be expected compared to typical plains game hunting. For this reason, every hunt is led by a professional hunter (PH) and follows clearly defined rules, with the hunter’s safety as the top priority.
