1. How long does the taxidermy process take?
The timeframe depends on the species and the complexity of the work. Smaller mounts (birds, small mammals) can be completed in a few months, while large trophies may take half a year or more. When placing your order, we’ll always provide you with an estimated completion date.
2. How should I prepare game for taxidermy?
Proper handling in the field is crucial – avoid damaging the hide, ensure quick cooling or freezing, and, if necessary, salt the skin thoroughly. A detailed guide can be found in the section “How to properly prepare an animal for taxidermy“.
3. Do you accept protected species for taxidermy? We only work with legally harvested or legally obtained animals. For any species listed under CITES or protected by national legislation, valid documentation must be provided – such as import/export permits, certificates of origin, or exemptions from restrictions.
Without the proper paperwork, we cannot proceed with taxidermy.
Unauthorized handling of protected wildlife is illegal and may carry serious legal consequences. Any suspicion of violations must be reported to the relevant authorities. Thank you for respecting both nature and the law.
4. Do you offer taxidermy for pets?
Household pets such as dogs, cats, or small rodents are not part of our work – they are seen as family members, and honoring them deserves a different approach than taxidermy.
Our expertise covers wild game, livestock (sheep, goats, cattle), and animals from specialized breeding, such as parrots or other exotic species. In these cases, taxidermy is available.
5. What types of mounts do you offer?
We create full mounts, shoulder mounts, and shoulder mounts extended with the front leg. We also design custom dioramas and interior displays, and we’re happy to craft unique poses or scenes on request.
Be demanding – the bolder your idea, the more excited we are. Don’t hesitate to challenge us with a vision that tests both our creativity and craftsmanship.
6. How should I transport game to you?
You can bring the specimen to us personally or arrange transport through specialized couriers. During transit, it is vital to ensure the trophy is properly cooled or frozen and securely packaged.
More details can be found in the section “How to Prepare Game for Taxidermy”.
7. Can I choose the exact pose for my mount?
Yes. When placing your order, we’ll discuss the options with you and adapt the mount to your preferences.
8. What guarantee do you provide on mounts?
A properly crafted mount will last for decades with normal care. We use only premium materials and proven techniques to ensure long-term durability.
9. Do you restore or repair older mounts?
No, we do not restore old mounts. Our focus is exclusively on new taxidermy work.
10. Do you make bases and pedestals for mounts?
Yes, we offer a wide range of bases and pedestals – from simple designs to custom hand-carved luxury pieces. Our offer changes and evolves quickly, so we recommend checking in with us for the most current options. Just call or write, and we’ll be glad to share the latest possibilities.
11. What materials do you use in taxidermy?
We work exclusively with top-quality components – glass eyes, finely crafted anatomical forms, and proven preservatives. Our goal is maximum authenticity and durability.
For more information, see the section “Modern Methods in Taxidermy”.
12. How should I care for a mount?
Mounts are not difficult to maintain, but they must be protected from direct sunlight, high humidity, and dust. We recommend occasional gentle cleaning with a soft brush or microfiber cloth.
See the section “Mount Care” for more details.
13. Do you mount fish?
Yes, we specialize in fish taxidermy as well. We offer different methods – from classic dermoplasty to replicas with hand-painted details that match the original perfectly.
14. Can you create dioramas with multiple species?
Yes, we design extended installations that faithfully reproduce natural habitats. Dioramas are popular both in private collections and in museums or hunting lodges.
15. Do you design hunting interiors as well?
Yes, we can design and deliver complete hunting interiors, including mounts, furniture, and decorative elements.
16. What’s the difference between standard and competition quality?
Standard commercial taxidermy focuses on efficiency and accessibility, while competition quality means absolute precision and authenticity – realistic skin textures, refined muscle detail, and perfect coloration.
17. Do you accept international orders?
Yes, we work with clients from across Europe. For international projects, all legal requirements for trophy transport must be met.
18. Can you arrange trophy pickup?
In certain cases, we can arrange collection of trophies. Please contact us to discuss the details.
19. How much does taxidermy cost?
Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the mount. A price list can be found in the relevant section of our website, or you can contact us for a custom quote.
20. How do I place an order?
Simply get in touch by phone or email to discuss the details. If you have specific requirements for a pose or design, it’s best to consult with us in advance.
