A truly unique specimen recently arrived in our workshop – a common seal (Phoca vitulina) hunted along the Norwegian coast. This marine mammal, typically found in northern seas, rarely appears as a hunting trophy or in taxidermy. The commission came from a private collector and hunter.

Recreating the seal’s natural appearance – including its characteristic expression, proportions, and skin texture – requires a specialized approach and experience with marine mammals. We had to carefully consider the animal’s unique anatomy and the specific nature of its coat, which differs significantly from land-dwelling species.
