Zebra is one of the most typical African game species and a common part of safari hunting. With us, you can hunt both plains zebra (Burchell’s) and mountain zebra.
At first glance, the hunt may seem straightforward, but the reality is quite different. Zebra are very alert animals with excellent eyesight and hearing. They usually move in groups and react quickly, often at long distances. The window for a shot is often just a matter of seconds. Mountain zebra also live in extremely demanding, rocky terrain, which means the hunt requires good physical condition as well.
Hunting is most often done by spot-and-stalk. Proper reading of the terrain, working with the wind, and patience when closing the distance are essential. Shot placement must be precise, as zebra are tough animals and can carry a shot for a long distance.
The main trophy is the skin. Typical uses include rugs or shoulder mounts. Thanks to its distinctive pattern, every zebra is unique. Zebra skins are also highly valued in both classic and modern interiors.
